Take Action

This Is the Moment to Act

The approval process is moving fast. What happens in the next few weeks will determine whether this data center gets built in our community — and your voice is needed right now.

Three ways to make a difference

01

Attend a Meeting

Public meetings are where decisions get made. When residents show up in numbers, elected officials and developers take notice. Come to the next town hall, bring a neighbor, and make your voice heard in person. Check the Events page for upcoming dates and locations.

02

Contact Your Officials

A phone call or email from a constituent carries real weight. Let your town board members, county supervisors, and state representatives know you oppose this proposal. You don't need a prepared speech — a few honest sentences from a neighbor matter more than you think.

03

Spread the Word

Most people in our community don't know this is happening yet. Share this website, talk to your neighbors, post in local groups, and bring it up at church, at the feed store, at the school pickup line. The bigger our coalition grows, the harder we are to ignore.

Talking points

What to Say

Not sure what to say when you call or write? Here is a starting point — adapt it in your own words. A personal, genuine message is always more effective than a form letter.

My name is [your name] and I am a resident of Hay River Township. I am contacting you to express my strong opposition to the proposed data center development in our community. This facility would place enormous strain on our local power grid, generate constant industrial noise 24 hours a day, depress property values for neighboring landowners, and cause lasting harm to our farmland and environment. We moved here — or stayed here — because of the character of this community. A data center is incompatible with that character, and the approval process is moving too fast for residents to be properly heard. I am asking you to oppose this proposal, demand a full environmental and infrastructure impact study, and ensure that community members have a meaningful opportunity to participate in this decision before any approvals are granted. Thank you for your time.

Every Voice Counts

The window to stop this is narrow. Attend a meeting, make a call, send an email, talk to your neighbors. Do one thing today — because silence is the only way we lose.
